Free
Free. No ads, no card, no catch. If we ever add something paid, it will be for schools, and we will say so in advance.
What the lessons are
The lessons and exercises are our own work, or built on openly licensed material. Number Sense is built on Literacy Foundations Math: Number Sense by Open School BC, licensed CC BY 4.0. We adapted it into these lessons. The narration is a computer voice reading our text. Where a book builds on someone else's work, its cover says so.
What you may do
Read the lessons, play the practice games, and share the link with anyone you like. Please do not copy our lessons onto another site or sell them. The Open School BC text keeps its own open licence, and you may use it as that licence allows.
No promise about school
Each book teaches what its cover says it teaches. We make no claim that it matches any school's curriculum or replaces a class. Use it alongside school, not instead of it.
Beta
Coursebook is in beta. Lessons may change, move or be taken down while we improve them. Some things may break, and the site may sometimes be down. If something is wrong, write to us and we will look into it.
No accounts
There is nothing to sign up for, so there is nothing to cancel, close or delete. Stop using the site and that is the end of it.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
